A Parish That Prays, Cares and Grows Together

Dear Parishioners, Greetings of peace and joy in the Lord! It gives me great pleasure to present this issue of Johannian Jottings, our parish magazine, which brings our parish family closer through faith, fellowship, and shared experiences. We hope it brings joy to every member of our parish family. As your priests, Fr Andrew, Fr Armstrong, Fr Cedric, and I strive to accompany you on your faith journey. If we fall short in any way, I sincerely apologize and seek your understanding. We are available throughout the week from 9.00 am to 11.00 am, without appointment, for suggestions, the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and spiritual direction. Professional counselling is available by appointment on Saturdays from 4.30 pm to 6.30 pm. Please keep us in your prayers, that we may remain humble and faithful servants of the Lord. Our vibrant Small Christian Communities (SCCs), strengthened by the zonal structure, foster fellowship and participation. Our Parish Pastoral Council, liturgical groups, catechetical ministry, cells, and associations enrich parish life. We sincerely thank all who serve these ministries. A living parish is built not by a few doing everything, but by everyone doing something. I encourage every family to have at least one member actively involved in a ministry or group and to participate in Cluster meetings and activities. We strive to provide holistic pastoral care through vibrant liturgies and meaningful catechetical programmes. Our commitment to well-being extends beyond spiritual growth. Formation sessions, sports, and fellowship activities encourage personal development, community bonding, and the discovery of God-given talents. We want every child, youth, adult, and senior citizen to feel welcomed, valued, and cared for. My heartfelt gratitude goes to our donors and parishioners whose contributions to the Sunday collection and Community Fund sustain our spiritual, charitable, and pastoral initiatives. May the Lord bless you abundantly for your generosity. Dear parishioners, our parish is more than a place where we gather for Sunday Mass. It is a family where we share joys and sorrows, support one another, and reach out to those in need. Let us build a community where everyone feels welcomed, every gift is valued, every family is strengthened, and Christ remains at the centre. May we continue to pray for one another, grow in unity, and witness the Gospel through our lives. I entrust every family to the loving care of Jesus and the maternal protection of Our Blessed Mother. May God bless our children, guide our youth, strengthen our families, comfort the suffering, heal the sick, and grant peace and hope to all. May St. John the Evangelist, our patron, inspire us to remain faithful witnesses of Christ and his love.

 God bless our parish family!
